By repetitive use I mean, anything over 20 years old being used regularly and by careless I mean, repeatingly dropping it and putting your fingers on the back of the CD. Scratching will happen with repetitive & careless use. This can lead to you having to over clean the CD, mess up the CD, and it sound weird or skip at times. If it's in a paper/cardboard case, then never drop it.ĭon't put your fingers on the back of a CD. At best then the case will break and not the CD. It's always better to drop them whilst in the case than to let them be dropped naked and afraid. Whilst they're not as fragile as vinyls, all it takes is one drop on the wrong surface and no more CD.
